Kingfisher Class visited Netheravon Airfield. The purpose of their visit was to explore the question 'What does Netheravon Airfield tell us about Netheravon in the past?' Rob, their tour guide for the visit walked them through different periods in time all the way through to the present. Kingfishers looked at the oldest buildings dating right back to 1913, they then observed the now out of action hangars that housed aircraft during WW2. Following this they went inside a hangar that is used today to house the aircraft that parachute teams use. They were then very lucky to get a tour of the parachute training center, which highlights what the airfield is used for today, some of the children even got to try on a parachute! Kingfisher class were very lucky to be supported on the visit by a past Red Devil himself.
In the coming months the whole school are hoping to recieve a visit from the Red Devils.
