Year 1 - The Tin Forest

This term in writing Year 1 have been focusing on setting descriptions and using adjectives to bring their writing to life. We have been focusing our writing on the text The Tin Forest and have thought carefully about what the forest looked like at the start of our story compared to what it look like after the old man brought it back to life by creating different things out of the junk. 

As an experience lesson last week, Year 1 did their own junk modelling to create things for a class forest. Over the weekend their magical creations have grown into a forest that we now look to write all about independently. I look forward to seeing their wonderful setting descriptions this week!
